Described by Chiron Review as ‘the finest love poet of his generation’, Ian Parks has taught creative writing at Oxford and Leeds and is currently poetry editor at Litro. His poems have appeared in The Times Literary Supplement, The Observer, The Independent on Sunday, London Magazine, Poetry Review and have broadcast on BBC Radio 3. His collections include A Climb Through Altered Landscapes, Shell Island, The Cage, Love Poems 1979-2009 and The Landing Stage. His latest collection has already been hailed by writer David Cooke as ‘poetry which is universal, profound and as natural as breathing.’ He is a 2012 writer in residence at Gladstone’s Library and Writing Fellow at De Montfort University, Leicester.
